"Pupils behave really well in class, around school and at playtimes. Positive and caring relationships have created an environment where pupils are kept safe and feel safe. Leaders, staff and pupils work hard to make sure that pupils are ready for life"

Year 3 Round Up Spring Week 1

It has been wonderful to see all the pupils back in school and ready to go. They've settled straight back in to routines and their best learning behaviours.

We started our latest geography topic by exploring Google Earth on the iPads. Children were able to locate the UK by searching for Europe (it was great to see them building on their Y2 knowledge!); they then found the capital cities: Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh and London.

 Questions to ask:

*How did the sister feel when her brother didn't return through the tunnel?

*What steps have we been using to calculate questions like 48 divided by 3? (Grown ups....no bus stops! The children should show you how to use partitioning and renaming to solve it).

*Why do non-fiction texts use sub-headings?
