Reception - Supertato

In our Talk Through Stories sessions this week, Reception have been learning the story 'Supertato' by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet. In the story, the Evil Pea has escaped from the freezer and is causing chaos and terrorising the other vegetables in the supermarket.

We decided to think about ways that we could catch the Evil Pea and restore peace to the supermarket. We had lots of ideas such as creating cages to lock the Evil Pea in and using a net to trap him and then returning him to the freezer. We then made our own super vegetables to help Supertato in his mission to stop the Evil Pea.

Unfortunately, we were not able to stop the him in time. On Friday afternoon, we entered the classroom to find that our classroom was full of peas and our super vegetables were trapped all around the room. We found a note from the Evil Pea saying that he had trapped them and that we would never be able to stop him. We disagreed and decided to write about what our super vegetables would do to stop the Evil Pea!
