"Pupils behave really well in class, around school and at playtimes. Positive and caring relationships have created an environment where pupils are kept safe and feel safe. Leaders, staff and pupils work hard to make sure that pupils are ready for life"

Coronation Celebrations in Reception

Reception have really enjoyed preparing for the Coronation of King Charles III.

We started the week with a visit from Paddington Bear. Paddington wanted to visit some London Landmarks and we learnt about all of the places that we wanted to visit, including Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey. We looked at pictures of these landmarks and found them using Google Earth. We then decided to write some information about these landmarks to send to Paddington to use on his trip to London.

We then started to learn about King Charles and the events that would take place on the day of the Coronation before taking part in lots of Coronation themed activities. We made our own crowns to wear as well as salt dough crowns which we have decorated to bring home. We also painted some fantastic portraits of King Charles.

Take a look at some photos of our celebrations.
