Reception - Kandinsky Art

This week, we have been learning about the artist Wassily Kandinsky. We compared his work to the work of Andy Goldsworthy and Jackson Pollock, who we have previously learnt about at school. We noticed that the colours that Kandinsky used in his paintings were much brighter than those used by Jackson Pollock.

Inspired by his work, we decided to make our own pictures, using hearts for Valentine's Day. We had lots of fun exploring colour mixing to make our own bright colours to use. We especially enjoyed using white and black paint to create different tints and shades of the colours that we had made.

Take a look at our amazing work!
